Fragmented Adagio

A figure pauses mid-gesture, suspended between effort and elegance. Constructed from layered collage and expressive mark-making, the dancer’s body feels both assembled and unraveling—echoing the discipline and vulnerability behind performance. The muted flesh tones, intersected with teal drips and sketched contours, contrast against the deep violet ground, creating a sense of quiet intensity. This work explores the unseen moments in dance—the breath between steps, where identity, control, and emotion intersect.
